Apakah UPIT?

• Ujian Penempatan IT (UPIT) adalah satu ujian untuk mengecualikan pelajar dari mengambil kursus TMX1010 End User Computing sekiranya pelajar lulus UPIT.
• UPIT hanya di sasarkan kepada pelajar baru yang memasuki UNIMAS.
• UPIT tidak diwajibkan

Apakah TMX1010?

• TMX 1010 adalah kursus pengukuhan (remedial) yang diwajibkan bagi semua pelajar UNIMAS.
• Tujuan TMX1010 memastikan pelajar mempunyai pengetahuan asas dalam hal-hal komputer.
• Namun, sesetengah pelajar sudahpun ada pengetahuan asas tersebut.
• Mereka ini akan dikecualikan dari mengambil kursus TMX1010 melalui UPIT.

Objektif UPIT

• Mengenalpasti pelajar yang telah ada pengetahuan asas komputer dan mengecualikan mereka dari kursus TMX1010 dengan syarat mereka lulus UPIT

Perlaksanaan UPIT

• UPIT adalah secara on-line
• Menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris.
• 50 soalan multi-pilihan.
• Masa selama 1 jam (boleh kurang)

Pendaftaran UPIT

• Pelajar yang hendak menduduki UPIT haruslah mendaftar sebelum 20 FEBRUARI 2013 menggunakan borang yang terdapat pada registration tab.

Semasa menduduki UPIT

• Pelajar dikehendaki membawa kad matrik
• Pelajar yang tidak membawa kad matrik TIDAK dibenarkan menduduki ujian.
• Pelajar diminta datang 15 minit lebih awal ke tempat ujian yang ditetapkan.
• Mendaftar di kaunter pendaftaran yang ditetapkan
• Pastikan tempat dan masa adalah betul mengikut jadual yang ditetapkan

Pengecualian Daripada Menduduki UPIT?

• Semua pelajar baru yang memasuki UNIMAS perlu mengambil ujian UPIT.
• Pengecualian daripada mengambil UPIT hanya ditujukan kepada bekas pelajar asasi Pusat Pra-Universiti UNIMAS.
• Syarat pengecualian adalah tertakluk kepada pelajar memperolehi Gred Lulus dalam kedua-dua subjek PRX1011 dan PRX1021

What is UPIT?

• Ujian Penempatan IT (UPIT) is a competency test for students to get exemption from the course TMX1010 End User Computing.
• This test is targeted for the new intake students entering UNIMAS this semester.
• UPIT is NOT COMPULSORY. Those with good I.T knowledge and wishes to drop from taking TMX1010 are encouraged to take UPIT

What is TMX1010?

• TMX 1010 is a generic (remedial) course that is compulsory for all UNIMAS students.
• The objective o TMX1010 is to ensure that students are well-equipped with the basic knowledge and skills in computer and ICT.
• However, there are students with sufficient ICT knowledge.
• Therefore, these students can get exemption from this course by sitting for the UPIT test.

UPIT Objective

• To identify students who possess sufficient ICT knowledge and exempt them from taking TMX1010 course on the condition that they have passed UPIT.

How is UPIT conducted

• UPIT is an online-based test.
• English is the medium of the test.
• 50 Multiple-choice questions.
• Duration is 1 hour (students can complete it within the hour and leave).

How to register for UPIT

• Those wishing to sit for UPIT need to register by 20 FEBRUARY 2013 using the online form at the registration tab.

When sitting for UPIT

•Please bring along your matriculation card.
• Those without their matric card will be BARRED from taking UPIT.
• Students are advised to be at the test venue at least 15-20 miutes before the scheduled time.
• Register your attendance at the venue counter.
• Please ensure that you have the correct time and venue for your test session.

Exemptions from taking UPIT?

• All new intake students can sit for UPIT.
• Exemption is only given to former students of Pusat Pra-Universiti UNIMAS.
• With the condition that such student has obtained a PASSED Grade in both the PRX1011 and PRX1021 subjects
